Blog Hop Party and Giveaway

I figure its about time I hosted my first giveaway. And what better time than in conjunction with the Blog Hop Party over at Quilting Gallery. I am super excited to be giving away a Seam-Fix. It's a great little tool.

For those of you who haven't seen it before, it's a seam ripper that picks up all those annoying little threads that get left behind with a swipe of the white rubbery tip. Now, being fairly new to quilting, I do my fair share of ripping out seams. It works great, much better than picking out the threads with my fingers....

So, if you are interested in winning this lovely pink lady, all you need to do is check out another post or page on my blog and come back here and leave a comment. For a second entry, be or become a follower of my blog and leave a second comment letting me know.

This giveaway will be open until September 3 at which point some lucky participant will be chosen at random. This giveaway is open to international participants.

Good Luck!

    1. I did! That was my first attempt at with a sewing machine. It was a lot of fun. Last year I made Diva's Tinkerbell costume, and this year I'm working on something special too!

  6. Betsy is beautiful! If you have the serial number for her, you can go to the Singer website and look up her birth date and place. My son got me one almost like her. He found it at a thrift store and bought it without knowing if it even worked. I cleaned and oiled and she sews great!

  13. I am totally jealous of your new (old) sewing machine. I remember both my grandmother and great aunt having a similar machine and I WISH I had thought to ask about inheriting it. I think they are beautiful machines and they also are sentimental to me--I think of all the beautiful quilts and piecework that the women in my family created on machines like that.

I don't think anyone ever grows out of a need for a seam ripper! I hadn't heard of this kind before though, what a cool idea.

  60. Hello ~ First time visitor, coming in with the blog hopping visitors. You have a number of very cute things you've made in the past. I love the Baby taggie quilt and thank you for the link to that site. I went to the site and then found their blog where I found a free pattern for that quilt and SO many other super cute quilts, baby items, and table runners. I got lost over there for about an hour and now I'm back to say thank you. With a 6 month old Granddaughter who I am fortunate to snuggle with every day since Mom and Daddy had to move in with us so she might be getting some new stuff if I can get things made.

  61. I am a new follower now as well with the GFC. (If you would consider adding the follow by email I would love to do that too since I tend to visit much more with those email notifications of new posts.)

I wanted to say too that I have never seen this tool you posted. What an awesome idea with that rubber tip on the top. I love that. Usually I have my lint roller handy to run over things that leave little pieces of thread like that. I started doing that when working with machine embroidery since it worked so well when I had a lint roller nearby and had a lot of threads needing to be picked off. The rubber tip though is even quicker since you can use the seam ripper and then just flip the tool over since it's already in your hand.
